Northern Folkart

In the northern regions of Mexico we have the states of Baja California North and South, Sonora, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosi, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas. Artisans in these areas are famous for creating well-built sturdy crafts made out of iron, high-quality blown glass pieces, woolen bags, beadwork, hand drawn work as well as rustic wooden furniture.

Central Folkart

The central area of the country is rich in history and culture, resulting in an extraordinary blend of art. Pottery and weaving are the two most ancient, and varied folk arts, wooden objects, equipales, natural clay art, painted art, ceramics, talavera, glass, baskets and many more. This region includes the states of Jalisco, Morelos, Aguascalientes, Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Queretaro, Michoacan, Puebla, Tlaxcala and the State of Mexico. 

Southern Folkart

As part of the magical Southern regions we have the states of Oaxaca, Chiapas, Tabasco, Vera Cruz, Guerrero, Yucatan and Quintana Roo just to mention some. Mystical objects, such as "alebriges" come alive in this Mexican region, also famous for the attractive black clay, petates, embroidery and tin art. Yet another talent the artisans in this region have developed is the world famous Mexican Silver products.
